NOT KNOWN FACTS ABOUT BAREFOOT SHOES FOR WALKING

New to barefoot shoes. We are in Montana in which it will get to -20 or lower. Any recommendations on boots? Am I ideal in imagining you would need to have the thick boot to shield from the intense chilly? Try to find boots with a large toe box probably?
